On 30 August Moreland City Council met with locals onsite to discuss the project. Florence Street traders, businesses and resident representatives took part in the discussion about how to make the park work for everyone. All those attending were supportive of the project and voiced their strong commitment to getting having the park operational over summer.
There was good discussion around maintaining access while being clever with the use of space. Next steps are for Council to follow up with access issues and arrange a traffic study. Too easy! It’s looking good for a summer pocket park.
